Tortola Boat Show 2018
At this year’s 37th BVI Charter Yacht Show held at Nanny Cay Resort and Marina, CYI had the pleasure of spending some time aboard Foxy Lady, the 62-foot Lagoon sailing catamaran that won this year’s Best in Show award! Known for her exceptional crew and modern, warm interior, this family-friendly yacht is crewed by folks who go above and beyond in encouraging guests to embrace “the art of living.” Focused on creating Caribbean fun, gourmet cuisine, and on crafting one-of-a-kind guest experiences, Foxy Lady imbues each day onboard with a special touch that makes guests feel right at home.
Did we mention the food? We had the pleasure of attending an invitation-only brokers’ luncheon where Chef Kate impressed with a juicy, pepper-corn sauce-topped tenderloin served with fresh local greens, followed by a dessert sculpture that was almost too beautiful to eat. (Almost. We ate it. It was amazing.)
Another beautiful yacht featured at the Charter Yacht Show, 62-foot Privilege catamaran Xenia welcomed us aboard for a tour where we were delighted by her spacious wooden interior, completely refitted in 2014. She features full interior air conditioning, a 360-degree view upper deck lounge, and a state-of-the-art entertainment system that allows guests the opportunity for rest and relaxation indoors after a day in the sun.
Luxury sailing catamaran Anastasia stood out at this year’s BVI Charter Yacht Show with her focus on green initiatives. She is outfitted with solar panels, uses bio-fuel onboard, recycles all paper, glass, and plastic used on charter, and uses local produce for meals when possible. Anastasia’s emphasis on cruising green earned her the 2nd place prize for the CYBA’s Save the Blue Water competition.
